I've been working on a new book review, but it isn't ready yet. So, here are some shots from last fall when we went up to the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina during the fall colors. It started off cloudy and rainy, but cleared out at lunch time to beautiful blue skies. Enjoy and I hope to have the review up by Monday.

My favorite is the one from the car. I've been trying to get something like that for a while now, but it hansn't happened yet.
Thanks. It was a lucky shot. That one was taken on a part of the Parkway where you couldn't stop and get out. The lake you see below is part of the Asheville, NC watershed. They don't want people stopping and dumping stuff out that could get into the water.
When you try it, put your camera in burst mode. That way you have more chances of getting a good one. An image stabilized lens/camera helps too if you have one. I didn't at the time though.

My father was driving. I did the shooting.
Beautiful photos, they remind me of growing up in West Virginia. I took the beauty for granted (easy to do when it's all you know)until I spent a year or two in the midwest. I love Cincinnati and consider it home...but you can't beat 'the hills' for beauty.
