No photo today. There's not really been much happening this week. Certainly nothing to photograph and I haven't really had much to write about either. My son is getting in to the swing of school again. So, we haven't been going out much lately. I supposed that I should really do some photography around the house, but I'm a bit down about some things and can't motivate myself to do it. It looks like it is going to be raining through the weekend, which delays some ideas I had been considering. The weather will start to be more of an issue with Autumn coming around soon. I am looking forward to the colors though. Hope we get some good when the colors are at their peak.
Maybe I could do some smoke photography here at the house. Hmmm ... that seems like an idea ...
Keep shooting.

Some weeks are just like that, and I've always thought the beginning of the school year kind of puts everything else in life on hold for a bit.
Smoke photography? Now I'm intrigued.
And I'm looking forward to some fall foliage photos (none of that around here)!
It does seem like school put things on hold for a bit.
Today's post will have a smoke shot I did previously.
I'm in a bit of a rut as well. Though I guess my situation is a little different. Sure, I haven't been able to get out shooting in a while. But that shouldn't stop me from post-processing the hundreds of shots I have in waiting. I could, at least, edit-down the workflow to eliminate photos that just won't make the cut.
As for the rain you're expecting...get out there and have fun with that. Some of my most interesting shots were done in the rain. I'll admit, it's not fun shooting in the rain...but some of the photos you get out of it will be worth it. So if you want my opinion...I say bypass the smoke photography and get out in the muck. I bet you'll find a lot of great shots that way. Ever shoot flowers in the rain? Or what about the creepy clouds on a rainy day?
If you do it...I'd love to see your results.
There's another reason we probably won't be going out this weekend. My wife had oral surgery yesterday and is still recovering from it. She doesn't handle it very well at times as she has odd reactions to the anesthesia and medicines. So, the smoke photography will let me stay here if she needs me.
