Pink Blooms
I had to fall back on something from early in the month for today's photograph. So, here are some some pink flowers from Kalmia Gardens. Flowers always say "Spring", don't they?
I have been practicing some portrait lighting with my son modeling for me. However, I'm not happy with the results yet. Practice, practice, practice. I'll get the hang of this people picture-taking thing yet.

I miss that explosion of spring blooms in South Carolina! I often took my lunch breaks and went to the park in Lexington, SC, just to take pictures of the flowers there during the spring time (well, other times of the year, too).
Are those blooms quince? Very pretty!
I don't know what they are, Pixel Peeper. My degree is in rocks. The closest I got to botany was fossilized ferns. ;-)
Rocks?
Heh - I'm surrounded by rocks at work (I work with a bunch of geologists).
I used to be a geologist in enviromental / engineering consulting. I got tired of walking through landfills and crawling through old buildings looking for asbestos. Rarely did any actual geology.
